    My uni faculty adviser told me last semester after my THIRD ANXIETY ATTACK something that I use as a daily reminder: “progress over perfection.” I waa so used to doing things in a one shot of perfection that I didn’t really know how to slow down long enough to analyze anything and see if I could have been more clear, explained anything better, used more of my data, etc., and as a result, what I thought was an A paper was a B- paper. But thanks to her advice and understanding, I was able to get an actual A on my final paper which helped me end the class in an A- instead of a B (and i made the deans list as a result). I’m still struggling with slowing down but everyday, in everything Im doing (one more academic year until grad school in scotland!), im trying to consistently remind myself that progress is better than perfection because its deep in the growth that we really truly learn.
